The Bills aim for a 3-0 start as big home favorites on Thursday Night Football against the Dolphins. 

Buffalo cruised past the Jets in Week 2, easily covering the spread in a 30-10 win. It gives Josh Allen, the current favorite in the NFL MVP race, a 2-0 ATS start to begin 2025. 

Miami fell to 0-2 SU & ATS with a home loss against the Patriots. Miami briefly held the lead late in the game, but a Patriots kickoff return gave the visitors a lead Miami never overcame.

Based on Miami’s weak defensive record and Buffalo’s previous success against the Dolphins, my Bills vs Dolphins prediction is the Bills Team Total Over 30.5 Points (-130). 

Team total lines have yet to come out for this game. Based on the pregame total of 49.5, one should expect a Buffalo team total around 30.5 or 31.5. 

Personally, I’d like the team total more if it’s 30.5, even if heavy juice comes with the market. 

Both of Miami’s opponents have cleared that number this season. Even more concerning? The Bills represent Miami’s hardest offensive opponent to date, based on 2024 DVOA ratings. 

Last year, the Bills ranked second in offensive DVOA, per ftnfantasy.com. By comparison, Indianapolis and New England ranked 20th and 30th. 

Miami struggled in both meetings with Buffalo. The Bills notched 31 in Week 2 against Miami before putting 30 on the Dolphins later in the season. 

Irrespective of opponent, the Bills cleared 30.5 points 10 times last season. Six of those 10 successes came at home. 

Incredibly, the Bills amassed at least 30 points in 13 of 20 games last year. Exclude Week 18, and it becomes 13 of 19. 

Accordingly, even with the short turnaround, I predict the Bills offense continues its success against a bad Miami defense,
