  • Bobby Babich enters his second year as the Bills' defensive coordinator.
  • Babich joined the Bills in 2017 and worked three jobs before DC.
  • Including Buffalo, Babich has worked for three different NFL teams.

Bobby Babich returns in 2025 for his second season as the Bills’ defensive coordinator.

Buffalo hired its current DC prior to the 2017 season. Babich began as an assistant DB’s coach with two other roles before DC:

  • 2018-21: Safeties Coach
  • 2022-23: Linebackers Coach

Babich owns five more years of NFL experience with the Panthers and Browns.

In 2011, he worked for Carolina as an administrative coaching assistant. Over the next four years – one in Carolina, three in Cleveland – he worked as an assistant defensive backs coach.

Babich acquired six years of college coaching experience as well. He started in 2006 as a Kent State grad assistant.

Four years followed in Eastern Illinois as a defensive backs coach.

His final year of college experience came in 2016 with Florida International. There, he coached defensive backs and worked as the defensive pass game coordinator.

Last year, Buffalo excelled in a few key areas behind Babich. Despite sitting 17th in yards allowed, Buffalo ranked 11th in points allowed and third in takeaways.
