  • My prediction for Jacory Croskey-Merritt’s rushing attempts prop (6.5).

With a division clinching scenario in play, Philadelphia travels to D.C. for Commanders vs Eagles.

In addition to the pregame spread and total, bettors can now find NFL odds for player props at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

Below, I’ve outlined a pair of player prop predictions for the NFC East matchup. Odds are reflective at time of writing and are subject to movement.

Commanders vs Eagles Prediction: Week 16 Player Props

Dallas Goedert Over 40.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Recently, Goedert picked up a heavier workload in the Eagles offense. Over the last two weeks, he notched 17 targets from Jalen Hurts for 14 receptions and 148 yards.

Now he gets a favorable matchup against a bad Commanders defense. Washington ranks 28th in pass defense DVOA and particularly struggles against tight ends.

Opposing tight ends are averaging 7.5 receptions for 63.7 yards against Washington. The unit ranks 32nd in DVOA against the position, a continuation of last year’s 26th-placed rating.

Goedert faced the Commanders twice last season. In the first meeting, he caught five balls for 61 yards.

In the NFC Championship, Philly’s tight end notched seven receptions for 85 yards.

Also worth noting: Goedert recorded a reception over 25.5 yards in both of those games.

Due to those factors, I predict he clears a low number for the third straight contest.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt Over 6.5 Rushing Attempts (-145)

The number strikes me as surprisingly low given that Croskey-Merritt amassed 18 attempts last week.

With Jalen Carter trending toward missing Saturday’s game, it likely creates an opportunity for Washington to run the ball.

Philadelphia ranks 17th in rush defense DVOA. It’s also a potential sell-high opportunity after the defense faced the 32nd-ranked Raiders rush offense in Week 15.

Even Ashton Jeanty managed nine attempts against the Eagles defense in a blowout loss.

Washington, despite its flaws this year, still possesses a decent offensive line. For Croskey-Merritt, he stayed under this benchmark only twice all season.

Once came in Week 2 against a then-strong Packers rush defense. The only other failure came at Denver, one of the league’s best rush defenses.

Chris Rodriguez also remains questionable with an injury issue. That absence could create further opportunities for Washington’s rookie back.

In what should prove a closer game for Philly than last week, I predict Croskey-Merritt clears a low benchmark.
