2 NFL Player Props for MNF: Packers vs Eagles

Below, I’ve outlined a pair of player prop predictions for the contest. Odds are reflective at time of writing and are subject to movement. 

Packers vs Eagles Prediction: Player Props

Saquon Barkley Over 77.5 Rushing Yards (-118)

Philadelphia could see a ton of positive regression from a rushing standpoint on MNF. 

Save for a pair of games against the Giants, Philadelphia has played a brutal schedule of rush defenses. 

In the six remaining games, the Eagles have played five against top-10 rush DVOA units. 

Accordingly, it should come as no surprise that the Eagles rank 14th in rush offense DVOA. Now the team gets a Packers unit that ranks 19th in rush defense DVOA. 

Plus, the Packers sit 24th in rushing success rate over the last three weeks. Last week against Carolina, the Packers allowed 163 yards on the ground. 

Enter Barkley, who has cleared this number only twice this season. One came last week at New York with an 88-yard performance at Kansas City (10th in rush DVOA) the other qualifier. 

Additionally, Lukas van Ness could miss the game for Green Bay. That could minimize the already bad quality of Green Bay’s rush defense. 

Accordingly, I predict some positive regression for Philadelphia on MNF. 

Jalen Hurts Anytime Touchdown (+115)

Everyone knows the narrative attached to this game. Green Bay led the charge this offseason to ban the tush push. 

How poetic would it be for the Eagles to score via the – currently – legal play? 

Anytime Hurts drifts into plus money to score, my interest piques. He scored a touchdown only once in his last four games, but has hit this prop in 50% of games this season. 

To begin the season, Hurts cashed his anytime touchdown in three straight games. 

Last week, the Packers allowed a pair of rushing touchdowns to Rico Dowdle. Prior to that output, Green Bay surrendered only three rushing touchdowns all year. 

That should continue against the Eagles. This season, Philadelphia doesn’t throw very often when it reaches the red zone. 

Barkley and Hurts have attempted 22 rushes from inside the 10-yard line (Barkley 12, Hurts 10). Comparatively, Hurts has attempted only 11 passes from inside the 10-yard line. 

Given those factors, I predict Hurts finds the end zone on MNF.
