In addition to the pregame spread and total, bettors can now find NFL odds for player props at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

Below, I’ve outlined a pair of player prop predictions for the contest. Odds are reflective at time of writing and are subject to movement.

Player Prop Picks for Packers at Lions

Jordan Love Longest Completion Over 38.5 Yards (-110)

Love has excelled against the Lions in his career. More broadly, he has performed his best against man coverage defenses.

The first-round pick has started five games against Detroit. His longest completions in those games: 53, 44, 59, 41 and 48 yards.

Now he gets a banged-up Detroit secondary, which has surrendered explosive plays lately.

Jameis Winston completed a 42-yard bomb against Detroit last week. Jalen Hurts stayed under this figure at 34 yards, but Marcus Mariota went over it at home!

This season, Love qualifies as one of the best passers against man coverage. Only Sam Darnold owns a higher EPA per dropback against the scheme.

Love’s 40% DVOA rating against man ranks third behind Jared Goff and Jalen Hurts.

Across four games this season vs. teams playing man coverage at a top-five rate in the league, Love has cleared this number twice.

Across all four games, he notched no shorter than a 34-yard longest completion.

Pair that with his recent successes against Detroit, and I predict he clears this benchmark come Thursday.

Jahmyr Gibbs Over 4.5 Receptions (-105)

Gibbs dominated on the ground against the Giants, but should receive a heavier workload through the air against Green Bay.

When these teams met in Week 1, Gibbs notched 10 receptions for 31 yards. That marks one of four successes against this benchmark for the season.

It’s also the second straight game against Green Bay in which he notched at least six receptions.

Two of those four successes came over the previous two games. The first-round pick notched 11 receptions against New York and five receptions on eight targets at Philadelphia.

I’m not sure that’s an accident with Sam LaPorta missing each of the previous two games.

Gibbs leads all Lions skill players with a 26.8% target share against zone coverage. His 34 targets place him behind only Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Amongst all running backs, he trails only three players in receptions vs zone coverage.

Recently, Green Bay has allowed completions to running backs. Aaron Jones, Tyrone Tracy and Saquon Barkley all notched at least three receptions.

Given Gibbs’ heavier workload and performances against Green Bay, I predict he clears this benchmark for the third straight game.
