The 2023 NCAA Tournament Final Four includes the UConn Huskies, San Diego State Aztecs, Miami Hurricanes, and Florida Atlantic Owls.Â
It is rare (but not unprecedented) to have a Final Four without a No. 1 seed. However, in this year’s bracket, none of the Final Four teams were top-three seeds, which is the first time that’s ever happened in the history of the expanded NCAA Tournament.
UConn is the only program that has ever been to the Final Four before. The last time UConn went to the Final Four was in 2014. That was also the last year UConn won the national championship.
Among the remaining teams, UConn is (unsurprisingly) the favorite to win the NCAA Tournament. If that happens, it will be the Huskies’ fifth championship since 1999. No other men’s program has more in that time span.Â
