Overtime Elite is a professional basketball league for players between the ages of 16 and 20. It was designed as a pre-NBA alternative to college basketball.
Players can receive an annual salary guaranteed to be at least $100,000. They can also forgo a salary in order to preserve their NCAA eligibility, in case they want to leave Overtime Elite to play college basketball.
Overtime Elite players also attend classes with practical real-world applications.
The league was only founded in 2021, but it’s already established a notable footprint in the prep/college basketball space.Â
Two Overtime Elite players were drafted in the top 10 of the 2024 NBA Draft – Alexandre Sarr and Rob Dillingham.
