Marquette Final Four History

Marquette has reached the Final Four three times. Only one of those appearances (2003) has come after the NCAA Tournament expanded to 64 teams in 1985:

  • 1974
  • 1977
  • 2003

The Golden Eagles are 2-1 in the national semifinals, winning in 1974 and 1977. They won the national championship in a 67-59 victory against the North Carolina Tar Heels in 1977.
