Last Time Iowa State Made the Final Four

The last time Iowa State made the Final Four was 1944. The Cyclones lost to Utah, 40-31, in the regional final when the tournament only had eight teams.

Iowa State Final Four History

Iowa State has only reached the Final Four once (1944), but the Elite Eight twice (1944 and 2000). The Cyclones have also made the Sweet Sixteen seven times:

  • 2014
  • 2016
  • 2022
  • 2024

The Cyclones fell to Michigan State in the 2000 Elite Eight, 75-64. Iowa State was the No. 2 seed while Michigan State was a No. 1.
