Alabama vs. BYU Prediction

Based on one historically profitable NCAAB betting system, the Alabama vs. BYU prediction for Thursday’s game is the BYU Spread (+4.5, -110).

Generally, Alabama likes to push the pace and run, while BYU possesses a comparatively slower offense.

History tells college basketball bettors that, in those situations, it’s wise to bet the underdog in the NCAA Tournament.

Underdogs with a pace average between 65.8 and 69.9 are 48-24-3 (66.7%) ATS, assuming the opponent’s pace average falls between 72.1 and 76.3.

The system also improves in BYU’s favor as underdogs with a slower pace in the aforementioned range tend to cover at a higher rate.

Shrink the sample down to games where the dog’s pace falls between 65.8 and 67.4 – BYU comes in at 66.8 – and the dog improves to 16-4-1 ATS.

That system has simultaneously improved recently, with dogs covering 12 of the previous 13 qualifying games, including five of five with a pace average south of 67.6.

As a result, bettors should consider taking the points with the Cougars on Thursday.
