The 2023 NBA draft lottery will take place on Tuesday, May 16. The results will be broadcast live on ESPN, starting at 8:30 p.m. ET.

The 2023 draft will be the 38th annual lottery, which helps determine the order that teams will select in this summer’s upcoming NBA Draft.

Unlike professional football, which awards the best picks to the worst teams in a straightforward and linear fashion, the NBA gives all 14 non-playoff teams a theoretical chance at landing the draft’s top talent.

Where is the NBA Draft Lottery Held?

The 2023 NBA draft lottery will take place in Chicago, just like last year.
