There are also several players who could opt out of player options and become free agents, like LeBron James, James Harden, and Julius Randle.Â

NBA Free Agency 2025 Start Date
The 2025 NBA free agency period will begin at 6 p.m. ET on June 30. At that time, four days after the draft, teams can freely negotiate with unrestricted players.Â
Players can sign new contracts starting at 12:01 p.m. ET on July 6.Â
