Timberwolves Win Total: Over/Under Odds & Prediction for 2025-26

The Minnesota Timberwolves begin the 2025-26 season with a win total of 49.5 at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

Minnesota’s NBA betting win total dropped one game after a 49-win season ended with another trip to the Western Conference finals.

Timberwolves Over/Under Wins 2025-26

  • Over 49.5 wins: -110
  • Under 49.5 wins: -110

Timberwolves Win Total Prediction

  • Under 50.5 wins (Pick made Oct. 2)

I only predict the Timberwolves to finish under their win total because there are more outs with that selection in the Western Conference.

To capitalize on the Wolves’ upside, there is a case for Donte DiVincenzo as an NBA Sixth Man of the Year odds flier, as the award is typically given to a reserve on one of the best teams in the league.

As for this win total argument, Minnesota already demonstrated what could go wrong last season. The Timberwolves never seemed to find consistency, which is why their record wasn’t reflective of their net rating (fourth in the league), and they were able to turn it on in the postseason.

Part of the reason why the Wolves took a bit to find their footing was that they made a trade for Julius Randle just before the start of the season. It took them a bit to learn how to play together, which is why Minnesota played its best basketball at the end.

The Timberwolves’ roster won’t feature as much change, but there will be a transition period after losing Nickeil Alexander-Walker. Rob Dillingham and Terrence Shannon Jr. are expected to have bigger roles in their second season.

Rudy Gobert is set to enter his age-33 campaign, so I’m curious to see how much longer he can anchor an elite defense. Minnesota posted the best defensive rating in the league two years ago, but dropped to sixth last season.

Anthony Edwards will only keep getting better as the Timberwolves’ star, but he voiced his frustration with how teams defended him throughout the regular season. He needs someone to help him create in the half-court.

In the end, I wouldn’t be surprised if Minnesota replicates the 2024-25 campaign, finishing with a win total in the high 40s before hitting another level in the playoffs.
