The New Orleans Pelicans begin the 2025-26 season with a win total of 30.5 at the BetMGM online sportsbook.
The Pelicans went 21-61 last year, marking their worst record since 2011-12.
Pelicans Over/Under Wins 2025-26
- Over 30.5 wins: -120
- Under 30.5 wins: +100
Pelicans Win Total Prediction
- Under 30.5 wins
The Pelicans were one of the most injured teams in the league last year.
Brandon Ingram, who has since been traded to the Toronto Raptors, played only 18 games. Dejounte Murray, the team’s major offseason addition, was limited to 31 games. Zion Williamson only suited up for 30 contests.
A bounce-back feels inevitable based on health alone, but I’m not sure it’s enough in the Western Conference.
The Pelicans made one of the more aggressive trades in the offseason, sending an unprotected 2026 first-round pick to move up on draft night to select Derik Queen. Not only is Queen sidelined until October with a torn wrist ligament, but his fit with Williamson could potentially be wonky anyway.
Speaking of Williamson, he’s now finished with 30 games or fewer in four of his six NBA seasons since being the No. 1 overall pick in 2019. New Orleans could look to move on from Williamson if he has another shortened season.
The Pelicans ranked 29th in the league in net rating last year. It seems like a big jump for them to surge into play-in contention suddenly.
