The Brooklyn Nets enter the 2025-26 season with a win total of 19.5 at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

The Nets finished 26-56 last year, but are in the early stages of their rebuild after making five first-round selections this summer.

Nets Over/Under Wins 2025-26

  • Over 19.5 wins: +100
  • Under 19.5 wins: -120

Nets Win Total Prediction

  • Under 20.5 wins (Pick made Oct. 2)

The Nets have only had one campaign since 2000 in which they finished with 20 or fewer wins. They won 20 games during the 2016-17 season.

Brooklyn struggled to tank last year, partly due to the talent on the roster and primarily due to the ability of first-year head coach Jordi Fernández. He proved that he can get the most out of a team.

Fernández is still leading the squad, so I understand the reservation with picking an under for Brooklyn’s win total. However, the Nets certainly addressed their talent problem.

Cam Thomas, the team’s leading scorer last year, remains a restricted free agent. Cameron Johnson was traded to the Denver Nuggets in a savvy move that helped the Nets land a future first-round pick. They could enter next season without the top four scorers from last year’s team.

More importantly, Brooklyn leaned into the youth movement by becoming the first team to make five first-round picks in a single draft. The Nets took some significant swings by drafting Egor Demin (No. 8 overall), Nolan Traoré (No. 19), Drake Powell (No. 22), Ben Saraf (No. 26), and Danny Wolf (No. 27).

With Brooklyn giving the keys to a rookie class this year, it’s easy to envision this team struggling to pick up many wins. That’s especially true when a team is led by rookie ball-handlers, who generally have some growing pains early in their career.

This win total has dropped from 21.5 to 20.5 for a reason.
