  • The Warriors are 3.5-point favorites on Christmas Day.
  • The Lakers-Warriors over/under is 224.5.
  • Tipoff is 8 p.m. ET in Chase Center on ESPN.

The main event of the NBA’s Christmas Day slate will be a showdown between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors at 8 p.m. on Wednesday in Chase Center.

The Lakers are looking for their first victory on Christmas Day since 2020. Since LeBron James joined the team, they have posted a 2-4 record on this holiday. The Warriors are 3.5-point favorites at home, with an over/under of 224.5.

Here is a look at the latest Lakers vs. Warriors NBA odds and my best bet for Christmas Day:

Lakers vs. Warriors Odds, Dec. 25

  • Point spread: Warriors -3.5
  • Moneyline: Lakers +140/Warriors -165
  • Total: 224.5

Lakers vs. Warriors Prediction – Friday, Dec. 25

Based on the latest NBA betting lines, my favorite Lakers vs. Warriors prediction is backing Los Angeles’ moneyline value (+140) because these two teams have been trending in opposite directions in recent weeks.

The Lakers have looked like a completely different team in the last few weeks. They have won four of the previous six. Los Angeles is third in defensive rating since Dec. 8 after being one of the worst defensive teams earlier this year.

Due to the NBA Cup schedule, LeBron James took a week off and only missed two games. He’s had much more activity on both ends of the floor since returning to action. It’s worth considering a bet on him to record a block at plus-money.

The Warriors, meanwhile, have cooled off since their hot start. They have been 3-10 since Nov. 23. Stephen Curry scored two points against the Grizzlies on Thursday.

Prediction: Lakers Moneyline (+140)

Lakers’ Record on Christmas Day

The Lakers have played 50 games on Christmas Day, posting a 24-26 overall record.

They have dropped three holiday games in a row, losing to the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, and Brooklyn Nets over the last three years.

Warriors’ Record on Christmas Day

The Warriors are 15-18 in 33 all-time matchups on Christmas Day, including a 10-5 clip at home.

Golden State has won two of its last three games on Dec. 25.
