The 2025 MLB postseason is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Sept. 30. Here’s where the New York Mets sit in the current MLB playoff picture:

Mets Playoff Seed

If the season ended today, the Mets would be the No. 6 seed in the National League. They lead the Cincinnati Reds by one game for that spot entering the final weekend. As it stands, they’d face the No. 3 Los Angeles Dodgers in a best-of-three Wild Card series.

Here’s the current NL bracket:

Last Time the Mets Made the Playoffs

The Mets made the playoffs in 2024, reaching the NLCS before losing to the Los Angeles Dodgers in six games.

In 2015, New York made it to the World Series before losing in five games to the Kansas City Royals.

The Mets haven’t won the World Series since 1986.
