37% of BetMGM Handle on Los Angeles to Repeat as Champions
JERSEY CITY, NJ – March 26, 2025 – After a blockbuster offseason, the Los Angeles Dodgers are breaking records before most teams have even thrown a pitch. According to BetMGM, the defending champions are drawing more than 37% of the total handle to win the 2025 World Series, a number that shatters the previous pre-season record set by the 2022 New York Mets (21.7%).

It’s not only the World Series winner market that is attracting action on the Dodgers. Over 90% of the handle for the team to win the most regular season games has come in on the Dodgers and nearly every bet on the Dodgers to break the regular season wins record has been on the “yes.” Egeland added, “If there’s a market that includes the Dodgers, bettors have taken interest.”
