A pair of National League Central foes will clash in this year’s NLDS when the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs face off. Game 1 is set for 2:08 p.m. ET on Saturday at American Family Field on TBS.
The Brewers, who got the bye as the No. 1 seed, won the division by five games during the regular season. The Cubs are coming off a 2-1 series win over the San Diego Padres in the NL Wild Card round.
Chicago won the regular-season series against Milwaukee, claiming seven of the 13 head-to-head matchups. The Brewers enter as -120 favorites to win the NLDS.

Cubs vs. Brewers Prediction for Game 1
According to the initial MLB betting lines, I like the +100 price tag on Milwaukee to score the first run as my favorite Cubs vs. Brewers prediction in Game 1.
Coming off a week-long break, Milwaukee will give the ball to its best pitcher on Saturday. Freddy Peralta went 17-6 with a 2.70 ERA this season, and he has plenty of experience facing this Cubs’ lineup.
In four starts against Chicago, Peralta has allowed eight runs on 12 hits in 21 innings. He spun six scoreless innings the last time he faced the Cubs on Aug. 18.
It’s unclear who will start for the Cubs as of this writing, but their bullpen was heavily used during their three-game set against the Padres. Even with a day off, the Cubs might want to have a longer leash with their starter.
While the betting market suggests this is a coin-flip series, Milwaukee’s best chance is to win Game 1. That’s why the Brewers are such big favorites in the opener with their ace on the bump.
Milwaukee needs to get off to a fast start on Saturday.
