Who Will Win the AL Pennant in 2026?

According to the opening MLB postseason odds, the New York Yankees begin as the betting favorites to win the AL in 2026. Their +320 odds imply a 23.8% probability.

New York started as a +290 favorite last offseason before trading between +220 and +375 for much of the year. The Yankees were eliminated in the ALDS by the Toronto Blue Jays, who went on to win the pennant by defeating the Seattle Mariners in seven games.

Toronto began at +1000 odds to repeat, trailing four other teams in the market. But the Blue Jays’ odds improved to +700 after signing Dylan Cease in free agency. They were +2500 long shots in this market last year, so they have certainly earned more respect.

There were four AL favorites in 2025: the Blue Jays, Yankees, Mariners, and Detroit Tigers. I expect another wide-open race in 2026.
