Nick Saban left Alabama after the 2023 season. His historic run as head coach of the Crimson Tide included several national championships and very few losses.

Alabama quickly filled the post with former Washington head coach Kalen DeBoer. No one would doubt DeBoer’s skill as a program leader, but coaching in the SEC is different from most other gigs.

Alabama fans have grown accustomed to Saban’s steady hand over the years, so the up-and-down 2024 campaign has millions of folks shaking in the backseat.

For now, the DeBoer-era Crimson Tide haven’t lost consecutive games. But Alabama’s close shave against South Carolina in Week 7 had a lot of college football fans on edge.

Last Time Alabama Lost Two Games In a Row

It’s been 11 years since Alabama lost two games in a row, with the last time occurring in the 2013 season.

Alabama lost its regular-season finale at No. 4 Auburn in the infamous Kick-Six game. Auburn went on to play in the national championship against Florida State.

Alabama was selected to play in the Sugar Bowl against No. 13 Oklahoma, which it also lost 45-31.

When Did Alabama Lose 3 Games In a Row?

Alabama hasn’t lost three games in a row since the very beginning of the Nick Saban dynasty. The Crimson Tide went 0-4 in Nov. 2007, losing games to No. 3 LSU, Mississippi State, UL Monroe, and No. 25 Auburn.

LSU eventually won the BCS national championship to cap the infamous 2007 season.
