Kenyon Sadiq is a playmaking Oregon tight end who could be an effective weapon in the passing game at the pro level.
Because of that, some draft analysts are projecting Sadiq as a potential first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, assuming he chooses to forego his remaining college eligibility.
Here are a few notes to consider as the draft gets closer.
Kenyon Sadiq In the NFL Draft
PFF currently projects Sadiq as the clear No. 1 draft-eligible tight end for 2026, with Ohio State’s Max Klare positioned as the distant No. 2 behind him. Klare has an early third-round grade.Â
Sadiq is sitting at No. 18 on PFF’s 2026 big board, implying that Sadiq could be targeted in the middle or back half of the upcoming draft.Â
Kenyon Sadiq NFL Draft Projection
I am projecting Kenyon Sadiq will fall out of the first round of the NFL Draft.Â
Barring a needy team trading up into the final third of the first round, I am predicting Denver or Atlanta draft Sadiq in the second round.
Kenyon Sadiq Mock Draft
Sadiq might have the talent of a first-round weapon, but the teams that are looking for tight ends have bigger problems they’ll need to address with their top draft capital.
Take the Dolphins, for example. Miami should finish the year in position to have a draft pick in the top 15, but it’ll most likely need to use that draft pick on a corner like LSU’s Mansoor Delane.Â
Cincinnati is another team in need of a tight end, but it has so many issues between its secondary and offensive line that it could never use its first-round pick on another pass-catching piece.
Sadiq’s best hope is probably the Broncos, who should be picking late in the first round and would like to add a good tight end for Bo Nix.Â
However, I think Georgia linebacker CJ Allen might make more sense for Denver in this range, allowing Sadiq to fall into the second round.Â
If that’s what ultimately comes to pass, someone will get a really nice weapon at tight end for the relatively inexpensive cost of a second-round pick.
