How Many Times Has Pitt Hosted College GameDay?

College GameDay has now been to Pitt four times, including the Week 12 show from the 2025 season.

This is the third time in six years the College GameDay schedule has included an ACC team hosting Notre Dame.

When Was the Last Time College GameDay Went to Pittsburgh?

Pitt has some unusual recent history with the show. As the above tweet points out, GameDay will be in Pittsburgh for its first Saturday show in 20 years.

However, the show did a rare Thursday night show at Pitt during Week 1 of the 2022 season. This was a worthy special occasion: the reconvening of the Backyard Brawl.

Prior to that, College GameDay’s last trip to the Oakland Zoo was in 2005.

That, too, was a game against Notre Dame. The Irish won 42-21.

This week’s Pitt football odds market expects a similar result.
