After a long season of SEC bouts, it all comes down to Georgia vs. Alabama.

Again.

The two teams that have won 10 of the last 11 conference titles down south will face off again on Saturday.

So far, Georgia is a modest favorite, playing with a nominal homefield advantage in nearby Atlanta.

Georgia vs. Alabama

Georgia lost its Week 5 game against Alabama, so at a glance, it might be a little surprising that the Bulldogs are short favorites in this game.

The reason, as far as I can tell, comes down to late-season form. Georgia has built an eight-game winning streak since that Alabama clash in late September, including wins over Georgia Tech, Texas, and Ole Miss.

Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson has struggled over the last month, completely dropping out of the Heisman Trophy conversation. The Crimson Tide lost at home to Oklahoma and dug out ugly wins against South Carolina, LSU, and Auburn.

Since the start of the 2021 season, Alabama has closed as an underdog in three games. All three games were against Georgia. Alabama is 3-0 straight up in those games.
