Georgia Tech can clinch a 10-win season and a spot in the ACC Championship Game with a win against No. 22 Pitt on Saturday. A CFP bid could be on the table, too, depending on how the Yellow Jackets’ next few weeks play out.

But Pittsburgh isn’t just a punching bag here. Despite what you might have seen after the College GameDay trip to the Steel City last weekend, Pitt is tied with Georgia Tech in the loss column and can weasel its way into the conference championship game with a win here, plus some help elsewhere.

In a lousy weekend for big games, the ACC will provide one of the biggest highlights in Atlanta.

  • Over/Under: 62.5

Georgia Tech vs. Pitt

Georgia Tech has been legendarily good as a dog against ranked teams under Brent Key, like when these two played three years ago in the middle of the season. Pitt was ranked No. 24 and favored by more than three touchdowns. The Yellow Jackets won – in Pittsburgh! – for one of the biggest outright upsets of the season.

This year, Key’s Georgia Tech team has become the hunted, not the hunter. And the head-to-head trends certainly like Pittsburgh – the road team in this series has won and covered four straight games.

In the last six games between Pitt and Georgia Tech, the under is 4-1-1 against the closing total.
