Gus Malzahn is the offensive coordinator at Florida State.Â
Malzahn is new in the role at Florida State, following the wreckage after the Seminoles cleaned house in the wake of a disastrous 2024 season.Â
Malzahn is an experienced head coach who previously worked at UCF (2021-24), Auburn (2013-2020), and Arkansas State (2012). As fate would have it, he coached against Florida State in the 2013 national championship game. The Seminoles won 34-31.Â
Malzahn got his start as a high school offensive coordinator in Arkansas. He would go on to work as an OC at Arkansas, Tulsa, and Auburn before eventually becoming an FBS head coach.Â
Florida State’s recent run of offensive coordinators includes Alex Atkins (2022-24), Kenny Dillingham (2020-21), Kendal Briles (2019), and Walt Bell (2018).
