While Christmas falls on December 25 every year, it came early for Brandon from North Carolina, courtesy of BetMGM.
Brandon was one of three winners of BetMGM’s Parlay Your Way to Vegas promotion.
The winners received a package centered around the NBA Cup in Las Vegas, including a four night stay at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV, $1,000 in withdrawable funds for use for travel expenses, 200,000 BetMGM Reward Points, two tickets to both NBA Cup semifinal games, two tickets to the NBA Cup championship game, on-court photo opportunity, two tickets to NBA Tees & Threes Golf Tournament and a 1-month NBA League Pass Subscription.
“It was pretty amazing,” Brandon said of his experience. “I wasn’t expecting all of it. It was unbelievable. No one who enters a sweepstakes expects to win. This might be one of the best Christmas presents I have ever got, for sure.”
The highlight for Brandon was the hospitality lounge at the T-Mobile Arena, which gave him access to food and drink before, during and after all three games.
He also was able to mingle with former NBA players, including Richard Hamilton and Tony Parker.
“I have been to Vegas before, but this was the best experience, for sure,” Brandon said. “The people at the arena were super kind and super nice. They made me feel like I was a celebrity.”
The Spurs upset the Thunder in the Western Conference semifinal, and the Knicks took down the Magic in the Eastern Conference semifinal. Then in the championship, New York came from behind to beat San Antonio, 124-113.
Brandon raved about how close he was to the court and what he was able to see.
“They were not courtside, but it felt super close,” he said. “Didn’t realize how tall [Victor Wembanyama] is. I can definitely say he’s super tall.”
Brandon added: “I’m a fan of sports. I am a fan of basketball. Any time you get to see these superstar players in person is an experience you want to take advantage of.”
