My prediction for Slovan Bratislava vs. Man City is the Manchester City Spread (-3.5, +115). 

This is the ultimate get-right spot for Pep Guardiola’s team, even away from home. 

Slovan posted a -2.5 non-penalty expected goal differential against Celtic. For context, Scotland is the 17th-ranked domestic league by UEFA coefficients. 

Now they get City, a team that plays in the hardest of Europe’s domestic leagues and has previously dominated bad teams. 

Last season, City rolled out a full-strength squad three times against a team 15th or worse in UEFA coefficients. 

They only covered this number once, but they dominated the underlying metrics. In those three games, City posted a +3.1 non-penalty xGDiff per 90 minutes. 

In terms of UEFA coefficients, all three of those matches came against teams that play in harder domestic leagues than Slovan.

This is by far the easiest opponent City will have faced in the Champions League since appointing Pep Guardiola.
