I predict that Usyk will secure a repeat win over Dubois via TKO/KO stoppage, as his fighting style fits well with Dubois. His complete package of power, speed, timing, footwork, and fight IQ is the reason why he’s currently at the top of the heavyweight division and is the key to this second meeting with Dubois.

Dubois undoubtedly has the one-punch knockout power that can put any contender and champion in the heavyweight division to sleep. However, the major problem is whether he can land it cleanly against Usyk, as Usyk also has an impeccable defence.

Let’s not forget the controversial low blow call that the referee called in the first fight that knocked down Usyk on the canvas in the fifth round. I also thought it was a clean body punch that folded the champion, but it was ruled a low blow and gave Usyk ample time to recover.

With how the first fight went, I’m sure that Usyk will make adjustments and tweaks for this upcoming match, especially preventing that body punch from landing again, which is why I believe that he will leave no doubt this time and finish this rivalry with Dubois once and for all.

Usyk was a former Olympic gold medalist in the 2012 London Games before he transitioned into the professional ranks in November 2013. He immediately made his mark by securing the WBO world cruiserweight title in just 10 fights. 

He then unified all the belts in the division and defended them six times before moving up in the heavyweight division in 2019. In just three fights in the heavyweight division, he became the unified champion and defeated other champions, including Anthony Joshua, Dubois, and Tyson Fury.

Dubois made his pro debut in April 2017 and quickly won several minor and regional titles. He won his first 15 fights (14 by TKO/KOs) before Joe Joyce handed him his first career loss via 10th-round knockout in November 2020.

Since that defeat, Dubois has only suffered another loss at the hands of Usyk, but was able to win the other seven bouts, which included his world title triumphs over Filip Hrgovic (via eighth-round TKO in June 2024) and Joshua (via fifth-round knockout) last November.
