The second title defense of Brian Norman Jr.’s WBO welterweight title will be against Devin Haney on Nov. 22, as they collide inside the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Both boxers are still undefeated, but Norman Jr.’s higher finish rate has made him the slight betting favorite with -120 boxing odds. Also, he’s the natural welterweight, and Haney is moving up in weight.

Meanwhile, despite being a former two-division boxing world champion and having an equally perfect pro record, Haney is still going to be the slight betting underdog with +110 odds.

Brian Norman Jr. vs. Devin Haney: Prediction

I predict a TKO/KO victory for Norman Jr. against Haney because of their massive difference in punching power. Norman Jr. has a one-punch knockout ability that could put any contender in the weight class to sleep.

Although Haney is known as a defensive, counterpunching machine who uses his footwork and head movement to avoid his opponents’ onslaught, I still think Norman Jr. will catch him with a clean power punch.

Once this lands, Norman Jr. will surely capitalize and go for the finish. Haney has also struggled to fight power punchers and opponents who apply forward pressure, as seen in his bouts with Ryan Garcia and Vasiliy Lomachenko.

Brian Norman Jr.’s Recent Fight Results

Norman Jr. is an undefeated boxing world champion who made his pro debut in January 2018. He needed to win 25 fights before he earned his first boxing title match in November 2023 against Quinton Randall for the vacant WBO International welterweight title.

He unanimously beat Randall and defended the belt against Janelson Figueroa Bocachica before he was pitted against Giovani Santillan for the WBO interim welterweight title in May 2024. Norman Jr. once again seized the opportunity and defeated Santillan via 10th-round knockout.

Last March, Norman Jr. finally captured his first boxing world title with a third-round TKO win over Derrieck Cuevas to secure the WBO welterweight belt. Three months later, in June, the American boxing superstar successfully fended off the challenge of Jin Sasaki with a fifth-round knockout victory.

Devin Haney’s Recent Fight Results

Haney was an amateur US national boxing champion before he went up to the pro ranks in December 2015 and TKO’d Gonzalo Lopez Rodriguez in his debut. Since then, he has swept all his pro fights and captured multiple world titles.

In November 2019, Haney won the WBC lightweight title against Alfredo Santiago and defended it three times against Yuriorkis Gamboa, Jorge Linares, and Joseph Diaz. Then, in June 2022, he added the IBF and WBO titles with a unanimous decision win over George Kambosos Jr.

The Dream fended off the challenge of Kambosos Jr. in their rematch in October 2022 and Lomachenko in May 2023 before he moved up in the super lightweight division and defeated Regis Prograis to become a two-division world champion.

His loss to Garcia in April 2024 was overturned to a no-contest, and he defeated Jose Carlos Ramirez in their match last May to keep his immaculate pro record intact and set up this world title clash with Norman Jr.
