  • The Winston-Salem Open is the final men’s event before next week’s U.S. Open.
  • The total men’s prize purse is nearly $800,000.

North Carolina may not be a hotbed for international tennis betting, but the Winston-Salem Open is the last stop on the men’s tour’s North American swing ahead of the U.S. Open.

While many of the top men’s players are likely taking the week to rest in a key sandwich spot after high-profile tournaments in Toronto and Cincinnati, some mid-level players are continuing to grind out tour events.

That includes reigning champ Lorenzo Sonego, American Sebastian Korda, and tour favorite Stefanos Tsitsipas.

As an ATP 250 event, the prize money and points available at this tournament are relatively small. The total prize purse for this event is $798,335.

However, for those looking to stay on the move through the run-up to Flushing Meadows, Winston-Salem provides a great draw, if a bit understated.
